Trainwreck Press Guidelines

1. Trainwreck Press publishes chapbooks by contributors to ditch,. In order to qualify for publication by Trainwreck Press, you must first submit to and be accepted by ditch, poetry magazine. Click here for the ditch, Submission Guidelines.

2. Trainwreck Press publishes first books only - for poets who do not have any work in book form (excluding anthologies). 

3. Payment: the Author will receive 4 copies of the chapbook, will receive a 10% royalty on all copies sold through the website, and will be able to purchase additional copies at a 40% discount off the cover price.

4. Quality - good and basic. At minimum a 24 page chapbook; 5 1/2 x 8 1/2; black ink on a coloured matte cardstock cover; black text on white paper; saddle stitched (stapled).

5. Promotion: the book will be listed on, and sold through, the Trainwreck Press page of the ditch, website.

6. Read the Trainwreck Press Publishing Agreement in pdf format.
In submitting a ms, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agree with all the terms and conditions of the Trainwreck Press Publishing Agreement.
The agreement may seem rather daunting for a simple chapbook, but I wanted to spell out clearly what you can expect so there won't be any surprises. The agreement covers who owns the copyright and subsidiary rights; what happens to your book if the business folds or is sold; etc.
I am actually quite easy on terms and don't mind changing the agreement to suit individual needs, but some people are difficult to work with so to avoid pointless arguments I want everything down in b&w.
