THE WHEELS OF SAMSARA

the city hobbling by morphs
primary colours into gray pleas

hoops of fire
halt on street sinking
stoplights

crack
cubist’s slumber
at window seat
swollen fists
but he is a lucid dreamer

the seat like all its
brothers and sisters

as the sun dissolves
into a charcoal sea
he reads about
the bus with no brakes
