Kate Siklosi hails from Sarnia, Ontario. She currently resides in Toronto and is a PhD Candidate in English at York University. Her research interests centre upon avant-garde poetry and poetics, including digital and new media poetry. She is currently the co-editor of Pivot: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies and Thought.

time lapses unfluttered

as the soul sails with masts of

     ancient fictions

     auras becoming viscous

sustenance of broken skull

non

sum

qualis

     eram

hued chords and soundless words

a communal tonic

fortes fortuna

     emerge (a)gency

wave tectonics; ebb and flow

still the arrival

     of

quickened departures

                   in subdued brigades

advancing

on prehistoric meridians

spools of unraveled associations

biding time for threadbare intentions

ransacking signifieds

     to know

     to sense

scire / sentire

the journey is stayed-

from whence

     ...       to where

sputtered broken refrain:

core

  corps

    corpo/rate

  corpo/real  

words gritted between incisors

bi

     cuspids

pulses imprinted on marrow

dialectical pressure

dissolved into

     ineinandersein

this circuitry

...
