Five Untitled Sentences

     1

What force moves against the tide of day,
Who hides behind dizzy thoughts
Discarded in baskets---

Who are you that comes
In a halo of darkness?

Hands pressed to glass,
A trapped reflection
Believing in transparency

Moves through.

     3

Pictures of ghosts
Trapped in tiny windows,

Phantom wounds in the dark
Lean over
         until they
                   fall.

     4

Reflections of lifetimes
Stretch through infinity,
Deja vu for the dead---

Past, in the presence of future
          tense
Holds in Heaven’s sigh.

     5

If this one life has
No promise of tomorrow,
Let’s drive

                Until
                              We find ourselves

Smiling.
